Queer Closet Co. is your go-to shop for pride apparel and unique designs inspired by queer identity, progressive politics, and music. Founded by Madison Ryan—a designer, creator, and business owner who’s deeply motivated by social justice—Queer Closet Co. offers merch for over 25+ identities and counting, so everyone in the LGBTQ+ community can find something that speaks to them.
It all started during the early days of the pandemic when Madison, then 24, turned to designing as a creative outlet. One design—the Global Protest Sweatshirt—went viral and sparked something bigger than she could have imagined. As her creative journey unfolded, so did her personal one. At the age of 26, Madison realized she was a lesbian—a discovery fueled, in part, by the infamous TikTok-to-lesbian pipeline. Comphet is a bitch!
After coming out, Madison noticed a glaring gap in the market: it was difficult to find pride merch specifically for lesbians—and for many other identities as well. So, she decided to create it. Whether you’re looking for subtle merch to quietly signal your queerness, bold and colorful designs to wear your pride loudly, or items that represent lesser-seen identities, you’ll find them here. And if we don’t have something? Let us know. We’re always adding new designs to better represent our community.
But Queer Closet Co. doesn’t stop at pride. Madison also draws inspiration from the music that brings us all together, offering merch that celebrates your favorite artists, albums, and lyrics. From Taylor Swift to Chappell Roan, you’ll find unique pieces that are as personal as the music you love.
